Baritone Johannes Martin Kränzle made a potent contribution as Gretchens avenging brother.. He sang intensly, his strong-dramatic voice sounding viry.

The best voice of the evening was that of Johannes Martin Kränzle, who sang the soldier-brother. A steady tone with a rapid, even vibrato and with a roundness and flow that makes crazy. The soldiers solo is extremly moving stuff.
